Geographical Location

With an area of almost 2 million km2, Mexico is the fifth largest country in the American continent and the fourteenth at world level.

Mexico forms part of North America together with Canada and the United States. It borders to the north with the latter country and has access to its territory through a 3,000 km-long border.

To the southeast Mexico borders with Guatemala and Belize, its doors to Central and South America, regions with whose countries Mexico comprises Latin America and has close linguistic and cultural relations.

Thanks to the fact that it has 11,000 kilometers of coastline, Mexico possesses beaches of incomparable beauty. The country is bounded to the east by the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea and to the west by the Pacific Ocean.
