Business Training Program

The Mexico-China Business Training Program began in February 2005 and continues to date thanks to the interest and participation of the Ministry of Economy, specifically through resources from the Pyme (SME) Fund and the states involved.

The program provides grants to Mexican graduates of economic-administrative and related engineering programs so that they spend between 6 months and two years in China becoming true bridges, ready to reinforce economic and cultural relations and exchange of knowledge between Mexico and that country.

In 2008 fourteen states (Michoacán, Colima, Sinaloa, Quintana Roo, Tlaxcala, Nuevo León, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Chihuahua, Tabasco, Yucatán, Federal District and Zacatecas) participated in the program, which benefited 112 grantees.

The main objective of the program is to train and form agents of change to be specialists in Mexico-China Business, preparing them to face and take advantage of the enormous challenge the country represents for Mexico in the 21st century.

Its particular aims are to:

  • Carry out different entrepreneurial projects, sectoral studies and business plans, among others, through the grantee professionals.
  • Promote linkage with Asian ports.
  • Visit factories with leading-edge productive/administrative processes.
  • Know and practice the entrepreneurial culture and the way of doing business.
  • Experience in situ the world’s largest market.
  • Carry out sectoral studies for Mexican products with export potential.
