Estado de México launched its participation in the Mexican pavilion in Expo 2010 Shanghai on July 1. The state will carry out an extensive program of promotional activities from July 1 to 15.See gallery

- Enrique Peña Nieto, governor of Estado de México, inaugurated the state’s participation in the Mexican pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai on July 9. This participation takes place from July 1 to 15 and will have daily performances of the Ballet Folclórico del Estado de México and Grupo Renacimiento, that have performed at events like the Beijing Olympics 2008. There will also be an exhibition of the book collection of the Bicentennial Library. See gallery

- The seminar "How to do business in Mexico" took place in the Mexican pavilion's Business Center on Saturday July 10th. It was aimed at 45 MBA students from Singapore's National University who specialize in sectors such as aerospace, electrical-electronics, information technologies and renewable energy. See gallery

- According to June’s visitor satisfaction poll, 88 percent of the Mexican pavilion’s visitors have liked it, 66 percent have improved their opinion of Mexico after their visit and 40 percent think it is excellent, while 36 percent think it is very good. Culture and history are the main reasons why visitors approach the Mexican pavilion and their favorite pieces are the Mayan Board (25 percent), the masks (19 percent) and the Altarpiece of the Virgen de Dolores (16 percent).

- On July 27, Mr. Wang XinXian, minister of the Communist Party of China’s Disabled People Federation, visited the Mexican pavilion. See gallery
- El Rincón de la Marimba will perform in the America’s Square on July 31 and August 1.
- On August 2 and 3, “Mexico Infrastructure Conference 2010” will be carried out in Shanghai, China, organized by ProMéxico, Mexican governmental institution in charge of promoting and attracting foreign investment. These business meetings will be attended by the ministers of State and heads of federal agencies who are responsible for infrastructure development in Mexico, who will present the portfolio of projects that the Mexican Government wants to launch in 2010 and 2011.
