During the 4th meeting of International Participants of the 2010 Shanghai Universal Expo, the Expo Commissioner Bureau—30 representatives from the 192 participating countries—was created. Mexico was elected to be part of the Bureau.

Mexico’s General Commissioner for Expo Shanghai, Eduardo Seldner Avila, acted as chairman in an event with representatives from Latin American countries that will be participating in the Expo, where they shared experiences and coordinated efforts.
