Support Groups
In order to coordinate the proposals of all the agencies involved in this project, in September 2008 the Inter-ministerial Group was formed, whose mission is to lay down the strategic lines for Mexico’s participation in the Expo.
This group is made up of:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Ministry of Economy
- Ministry of Social Development
- Ministry of Tourism
- Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources
- Ministry of Public Administration
- National Council for the Arts and Culture
- ProMéxico
In October 2008 the Consultative Council was established, made up of a group of interdisciplinary experts and members of civil society to provide advisory assistance in the areas of architecture, sustainable development and ecology with a view to communicating in an assertive manner about where we are and where we are going.
The Consultative Council consisted of representatives of the following entities:
- Coordination of Cultural Dissemination UNAM
- Faculty of Architecture UNAM
- National Coordination of the Festivities for the Celebration of the Bicentenary of the Independence Movement and the Centenary of the Revolution Movement
- College of Mexico (Colmex)
- Mexican Foreign Trade Entrepreneurial Council (COMCE)
- Mexican Association of Secretaries of Economic Development (AMSDE)
- National Ecology Institute (INE)
- Federation of Colleges of Architects of the Mexican Republic
- National Art Museum (MUNAL)
- Mexican Council for the Promotion of Tourism
- National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA)
- National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH)
- National School of Plastic Arts (ENAP)
- National Commission for Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity (CONABIO)
In addition, the following working subgroups were formed:
