Virtual Tour

For the first time in the history of universal exhibitions, Expo 2010 Shanghai will make it possible for the world population that does not physically attend the fair site to visit it virtually.

At the official web site http://en.expo.cn/index.html#&c=home, users will be able to take a virtual tour of the Expo’s pavilions. It is estimated that the site will receive more than 100 million visits.

Mexico is one of the countries that will have a virtual tour. Starting on May 1st, by accessing the official website of the Mexican pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai it will be possible to visit part of the Mexican pavilion’s museography. The program is developed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico and will be a totally new experience, for visitors will be able to access “the interior” of the pavilion from a distance and tour the site in a computerized animation.

Through the use of this interactive tool, Mexico will take Shanghai to its citizens who, from the comfort of their own homes, will be able to participate in the biggest universal exposition in history.
