Virtual Tour

For the first time in the history of universal exhibitions, Expo 2010 Shanghai makes it possible for the world population that does not physically attend the fair site to visit it virtually.

At the official web site http://en.expo.cn/index.html#&c=home, users are able to take a virtual tour of the Expo’s pavilions. It is estimated that the site will receive more than 100 million visits.

Mexico is one of the countries that offer a virtual tour. By accessing http://shanghai2010.unam.mx it is possible to visit part of the Mexican pavilion’s museography.

The program was developed by the National Autonomous University of Mexico and is a totally new experience, for visitors are able to access “the interior” of the pavilion from a distance and tour the site in a computerized animation.

Through the use of this interactive tool, Mexico takes Shanghai to its citizens who, from the comfort of their own homes, are able to participate in the biggest universal exposition in history.
